What types of guitars do you repair?
I work on acoustic, electric, classical, and bass guitars. I also work on all orchestral stringed instruments, such as the violin. I can help there, too! Whether your stringed instrument needs a basic setup or repair, I can help.
Do you work on other stringed instruments?
Yes! While my primary focus is on guitars and basses, I can also handle repairs on mandolins, ukuleles, banjos, and other stringed instruments.
How much does a guitar setup cost?
Pricing depends on the type of guitar and your specific needs. I charge $100 per hour, depending on the level of complexity. A standard setup includes adjusting the truss rod, bridge height, nut slots, intonation, and cleaning. Contact me at 250-509-1384 for an estimate.
Is a guitar setup necessary?
Absolutely. That’s especially true if you’ve just purchased a brand-new guitar or acquired it second-hand. It’s essential to balance the bridge, ensure intonation is correct, and adjust the pickup height. And, of course, tuning also plays a huge role in the setup process.
I recommend annual setups, especially if you frequently change your strings.

How long does a repair usually take?
Minor adjustments and setups are typically ready within 1 and 3 business days. More complex repairs, such as fretwork or structural damage, may take 1 to 3 weeks, depending on workload and part availability.

Do I need an appointment?
Advance calls are recommended if you would like to discuss custom modifications or major repairs.
Can you repair broken headstocks?
Yes. Headstock breaks are common and usually repairable.
Do you install pickups and electronics?
Absolutely. I install and upgrade pickups, wiring, and controls for both acoustic and electric guitars.
Is your workmanship guaranteed?
All repairs come with a workmanship guarantee. If you experience any issues with the work performed, bring it back, and I’ll make it right.
